About Regal Princess Cruise Tours

The Ship. Debuting in 2014, the Regal Princess and her sister ship the Royal Princess are the largest ships in the Princess Fleet. Weighing in at approximately 141,000 tons, this mega-liner accommodates about 3,600 passengers. This is a large, spectacular ship with amazing touches including Bellagio-style fountain water shows and the Sea Walk, a perch 16 stories above the waves offering amazing views.

Dining. Dining options abound on the Regal Princess. There are three main dining rooms each serving the same high-quality menu and exceptional service that Princess is known for: Allegro offers traditional-style cruise ship dining with assigned tablemates and dining time, while in Symphony and Concerto passsenges can take advantage of "personal choice" dining with times and tables assigned on the fly. The Lido Deck restaurants serve buffets, pizza, Japanese Hibachi and other options. Two reservations-only alternative dining options are available for an additional fee. The Crown Grill is an upscale seafood and steakhouse venue, and Sabatini's serves high-end Italian cuisine. (Be sure to reserve these options early, as they fill up very quickly). Two other choices for seafood are The Crab Shack, a fun informal restaurant featuring crack-your-own crabs and peal-and-eat shrimp, and the Ocean Terrace Seafood Bar, a raw bar that serves sushi, sashimi, ceviche and even caviar. The Fondue Dispensary offers a variety of melted cheese dishes. The Pastry Shop offers free desserts as well as classes and demonstrations from professional chefs. Other small venues serve meals at different times of the day, including the Outrigger Bar, which offers offer upscale Mexican fare at lunch time, and the Trident Grill, which offers burgers and hot dogs during the day and becomes a Tex-Mex barbecue joint in the evenings.

Complimentary 24 hour room service is also available. For those in high-end cabins, Ultimate Balcony Dining provides the experience of being served an elegant private dinner on your own balcony for a small fee. International Cafe/Patisserie is open 24-hours a day offering some food items for free with a small charge for others. .

Daytime Activities. Water activities aboard the Regal Princess include a multitude of freshwater pools. Two pools are for kids of various ages (the "paddling pool" and the "splash pool"), and there is also a pool in the spa with simulated lap swimming (i.e., an artificial current) and the Terrace Pool in the Sanctuary (both for adults only). A large variety of events including team trivia and high tea are available each day. Princess Live! is the first TV studio at sea, with many opportunities for passengers to participate in shows broadcast throughout the ship. Duty-free shopping is available onboard, as are other entertaining activities and get-togethers throughout the day. In addition to an Internet cafe, WI-FI is available throughout the ship. The 300-square-foot outdoor LED screens show movies and events about a half dozen times each day. (Guests can even watch movies while in the pools). For a slower pace, adults can escape the rush and relax in the Sanctuary, and an adults-only sun deck.

Spa and Fitness. The full-service onboard Lotus Spa and salon covers 10,000 square feet of of space, provides a variety of relaxing treatments and therapies. The spa's signature treatment is the Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow with Massage. Warm oil is dripped luxuriously all over your body before Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is applied, followed by Exotic Island Flower Body Lotion, leaving After rinsing away the salts, the treatment concludes with a Deep Tissue Muscle Massage. An outdoor sport court and jogging track are supplemented by a fully-equipped gym that offers weight and cardio equipment as well as fitness classes.

Nighttime Entertainment. Nightlife abounds in the Regal Princess' bars and dance clubs. A main theater presents Broadway-style revues featuring the ship's talented cast of singers and dancers, while a smaller venue hosts magicians, comedians and musical acts. A large casino offers a variety of games when the ship is at sea. Poker games and tournaments are also staged throughout each voyage.

Kids. The Regal Princess has dedicated Youth Centers and Teen Lounges. In "Princess Pelicans" (ages 3-7), kids are entertained with a variety of activities including Kindermusik at Sea, kids-only dance parties, movies and cartoons, ice Cream and pizza parties, t-shirt coloring, pajama parties, and art projects. Kids 8-12 will enjoy "Shockwaves", which include kids-only dinners, dance parties, movies, video games, scavenger hunts, karaoke and talent shows, sports tournaments, California Science Center workshops, Jr.CHEF@Sea, and Klutz projects. The teens-only exclusive Lounges are for passengers ages 13-17 include PS2/PS3 and Wii games, the latest movies, music, and foosball tables. Events include teens-only dance parties. late-night movies, sports tournaments, Casino Night, talent shows, formal dinners, mocktail competitions, DJ workshops, teen makeovers and hip hop dance classes.
