Celebration Cruise Line

About Celebration Cruise Line

Celebration Cruise Line is a one-ship cruise line that sails two-night voyages from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island. The cruises may be combined with a Bahamas beach resort stay. The short duration (and affordability) of the cruises make them popular with first-time cruisers and those who are able to drive to the port.

Celebration Cruise Line is best for:

First-time cruisers;
Young adults and budget-conscious adults and families who want to sample the cruise experience.

The ships of Celebration Cruise Line:
  • Bahamas Celebration (1,200 passengers)
The atmosphere and experience onboard Celebration Cruise Line:

Very casual, few frills and tailored toward a younger crowd. As the ship is a converted Baltic ferry, this is a mass-market product and the level of satisfaction depends on the expectations. Cabins are small and some inside cabins are furnished with bunk beds; outside cabins are generally sold as upgrades, at higher prices.

The cruises are marketed by a company known as Caribbean Cruise Line and often presented as "free" cruises through various promotions, though there are charges of several hundred dollars, as well as an obligation to attend sales presentations for timeshares.

The destinations served by Celebration Cruise Line:
  • Bahamas
The clientele of Celebration Cruise Line:

Young couples, singles and families who want a short Bahamas getaway. Many have booked through the "free" promotion mentioned above. Approximately one-third of the passengers are native Floridians.

Regarding children onboard Celebration Cruise Line: Children's programs are available on board for guests who are 3 and older. Club Coconuts for children 3-9, Club Wave for children 10-14 and Open Water for teens 15-17.
