Brilliance of the Seas, the second of Royal Caribbean's mid-sized (90,000-ton) Radiance family of ships, holds approximately 2,500 passengers and was put into service in 2002. Because the ship is only 58 feet shorter than the line's larger Voyager-class vessels but holds 600 fewer passengers, its public areas are generally quite spacious. Brilliance has most of the extras of the Voyager ships as well, including its signature climbing wall, full-size basketball and volleyball court, mini-golf course, and two specialty restaurants.
