This unique ship was built exclusively for Uniworld and was inaugurated in April of 1999. As the newest and most luxurious river cruise ship in Europe, the River Queen crusie ship became an instant success with Uniworld passengers.
The exterior was designed to resemble the Grand River steamships of the 1920s. The interior combines the state-of-the-art maritime technology with the highest level of comfort possible. To create an elegant interior based on the famous Art-Deco style - with a modern touch - no effort or expenses were spared.
The River Queen has 68 cabins and 2 suites, and offers accommodations, luxuries and amenities superior to any other river cruise ship in Europe.
The public rooms offer an elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere. The sparkling lobby has a glass elevator. The spacious Main Lounge, lined with panoramic windows, has a skylight above. There is even a cozy open fireplace. There is a Veranda Lounge and a Club Lounge with a library and gaming tables. The spacious sun deck invites you to relax and watch the world float by. The beautiful restaurant, with panoramic windows on three sides, offers elegant dining in one seating. On board you'll also find a beauty salon (hair dresser), a boutique and a fitness center with solarium, sauna and whirlpool.
The entire ship is non-smoking, with the exception of a designated area by the Club bar and sun deck.
