Outstanding service!, September 30, 2015

Cons: Evening after-dinner activities but certainly not bad.

Region visited: Mediterranean

Cabin number: 307

Good for children: No

Good for teenagers: No

The crew on this ship pampers you. The crew is very well trained and seem to enjoy their jobs. There is excellent attention to detail - from the restaurant waiters to the stewardesses. The restaurant is like eating in a fine dining restaurant every day - the food was outstanding. Not a lot of extra food and fast food like on other cruises but plenty to eat.

As the other reviewer noted this is not a party boat. Since it is a small ship with 112-person capacity and 91 crew there is not a lot of evening entertainment. They have a piano bar and the entertainer there was very good. They have an open-air top of the ship bar where we would socialize after dinner.

There are also a lot of DVD's and a good library - which we didn't use because with a small passenger list it was easy to socialize and meet other people. Out of the 92 passengers and 91 crew 17 countries were represented which made for a very interesting mix of people.

The crew was also knowledgeable about the ports and activities so if you wanted to explore on your own you had enough guidance to do so.

Treat yourself to luxury, August 5, 2010

Pros: I've never been more pampered in my life!

Cons: If your looking for a party cruise, this isn't it.

Date of cruise: June 1, 2003

Departure port: Rome, Italy

Region visited: Mediterranean

Cabin category: Outside

The Sea Dream yachts are the perfect way to give yourself an indulgent treat, yet priced low enough to be tempting to the average vacationer.

The food is sublime; usually with fresh fish, fruits and vegetables gathered during the day in port. No wish is too great or small, you ask and they produce. The first morning I asked if they had blueberries for the waffles. They didn't, however, after the day in port I was greeted by the head waiter who excitedly told me that they bought some in port and they would be ready for me the next morning.

There are Balinese beds topside for sunbathing or star gazing at night. Fresh lemon scented towels are always on hand to cool you off after a long day in port.

The cabins are well-appointed, with flat screen TVs and plush bedding. The shower has multi-heads which is a perfect way to sooth away tired bodies.

A DVD library is available for passengers to view in their staterooms. Our steward noticed the DVD on the table when she was bringing fresh towels. She left for a few minutes and came back with a serving try with our favorite sodas and freshly popped popcorn!

This is a small ship with limited number of passengers, the crazy night life and party atmosphere is non-existent. If you are looking for a 24-hour party, this is NOT the cruise for you. If you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, endless pampering, delicious food, tasty wines, plush staterooms....this IS the cruise for you!

The staff quickly pick up your likes and dislikes on the first day, and anticipate your every need. My wife and I felt like we were the most important people onboard the ship.

Sea Dream: If you can imagine it, you can have it.
