Gorgeous Scottish Highland Scenery,  A Private Sailing Charter, A Private Tour of the Pyramids With Camels and Desert Drive, & A Private European Personal Shopper, Plus Other News At AllThingsCruise

This week we wanted to explore some of the things you could do on your next cruise and we thought these were especially memorable. Enjoy dreaming!
Warmest regards, Heidi

Scotland:  Private Glenturret Distillery and Highland Scenery – Leaving Greenock, you will pass through Glasgow and see the historic city of Stirling with its distinctive castle before you arrive in Perthshire where, nestled in the heart of the beautiful countryside, is Glenturret Distillery, the oldest working distillery in Scotland and home of The Famous Grouse. Learn how Glenturret is married with other malt whiskies to produce The Famous Grouse. At the end of the tour, experience a tutored tasting of four whiskies, and then have a three-course lunch. Your return journey will take you right through the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and some of the most beautiful scenery in central Scotland. Price: Varies by size of your private party: $781/person for two to $320/person for 10.  More…

Caribbean:  Private Sailing Charter (Bermuda) – Enjoy a unique experience as you sail along crystal clear waters in Bermuda aboard your own private sailing yacht. This craft is equipped with a bimini top over the cockpit for those who prefer shade, while those who enjoy the sun will appreciate the spacious open decks. Bermuda is world renowned for tropical breezes, the turquoise ocean, and abundant marine and wildlife, which makes snorkeling exceptional. Price: Varies by the size of your private party: $115/person for six, down to $72/person for 16. More….

Hawaii: Exclusive Hana Picnic – With only six to eight guests per tour, enjoy a relaxing exploration of the spectacular Hana coast. Navigate the 617 curves and 54 one-lane bridges on the road to Hana. View glistening waterfalls, exotic tropical flora and lava sea cliffs through panoramic windows in your air-conditioned van. Walk through enchanting Kakala gardens, offering 50+ acres of beautiful tropical flowers. Enjoy a continental breakfast and a scrumptious beach-side tamari-and-ginger chicken and baked mahi mahi lunch, elegantly served at one of Hana's black-sand beaches. Finally, take an ocean swim or splash into a cascading waterfall. Price: $210 per person.  More…

AlaskaPrivate Glacier Trek Hiking – After a 30-minute drive, and 30-minute check-in and gear orientation, you will begin an approximately two-hour hike over a three-mile trail. The hike is mostly uphill, through the rainforest along Mendenhall Lake. The first mile of the trail is well maintained and goes through forests with a few switchbacks, while the second half of the trail is challenging and off the beaten path, and requires hiking on bedrock with rock scrambling on steep sections. The elevation gain is more than 350 feet. Once you reach the terminus of the glacier, you will be outfitted in trekking gear. Guides will instruct you step by step on how to trek in crampons on glacial terrain. View the formations of the glacier, including ice caves, streams, crevasses and other unique glacial formations. After trekking around the glacier, if time and glacier conditions permit, you will be given a short introduction to ice climbing. (Time on the glacier will depend on how quickly you reach the glacier. The average time is approximately 1-1.5 hours.) You will then return to the starting point along the same trail you hiked at the beginning. Price: Varies by size of your private party: $370/person for two to $215/person for 12. More…

Africa:  Private Pyramids, Camels and Desert Drive (Egypt) – As you arrive at the outskirts of Cairo, your tour will proceed to the Giza Plateau to discover the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza. Next your excursion takes you to the guardian of the mortuary complex, the mysterious Sphinx. Carved out of a solid natural rock around 2650 B.C., the Sphinx has the head of a man, body of a lion and stretches out to a length of 240 feet. After lunch, you will board 4X4 vehicles and set off into the desert. As you travel of the shifting sands you will come across a Bedouin Oasis where you will stop for tea. Then, join a camel caravan where experienced camel drivers will assist you to mount the unique saddle before you begin your unforgettable trip back to the Sakkara Country Club. Price: Varies by size of your private party: $382/person for two to $228/person for 10. More…
