Princess Cruises’ Children’s Programs: Passengers ages 13-17 can enjoy all of the coolest amenities in Princess’s teen lounges. The teen lounges feature all of the latest tech, like PS2/PS3 and Wii games, movies and music. Teens can also participate in activities such as Casino Night, hip hop dance lessons, sports tournaments, teen makeovers and more. (*)
Royal Caribbean International’s Children’s Programs: The minimum age to sail is 6-months’ old, with a 12-month age requirement for some cruises. Then I had turned to the left instead of to the right. That’s how I ended up in the boarding line for a mega ship. Didn’t take me long to figure out this wasn’t the Seabourn Odyssey. Crystal Serenity’s chic “extreme makeover” planned for November ‒ Crystal Cruises is preparing for a $17-million redesign of the award-winning Crystal Serenity this November. The line is planning sweeping makeovers of the ship’s Crystal Penthouses (the line’s coveted top accommodations) and Lido Deck, including the popular indoor/outdoor Trident Grill, Tastes restaurant and Crystal Serenity’s Lido café. Building upon the success of Crystal Symphony’s “living wall,” Crystal is expanding its green concept to the Lido area. Maintenance, cleaning, mechanical updates and environmental upgrades will also be implemented throughout the ship’s interior and exterior spaces during the two-week dry dock at the Navantia Shipyard in Cádiz, Spain.
