Visiting the Scottish Highlands…Vicariously!  My father, Alexander was born in Scotland so for many years I have wanted to experience a luxury hotel barge.   We would like to share with you the story of an adventure on the Scottish Highlander, hoping you enjoy this as much as I did………….More………….

Loch Ness /Urquhart Castle -- Today’s journey started off with a bacon and egg breakfast before leaving the port in Inverness (which is also called “The Gateway to Loch Ness”). We cruised the Loch for several hours and I kept an eye out for Nessie, More……………..

A bagpiper played on the old stone bridge which led to the fortress, a landmark for many battles between the Scotts and English over the past 600 years. It was just amazing to think of the history contained here.  More………………
