The Ship.  Built in 1999 and refurbished in 2008, the Ocean Princess is a member of the R class of  Princess ships.   She weighs just over 30,000 tons, and accommodates only about 700 passengers.   Along with her sister-ship the Pacific Princess, she is the smallest ship in Princess' fleet.  The Ocean Princess provides a very intimate experience and able to visit smaller ports than her much-larger cousins. Note: As cabin sizes vary even within cabin categories, it's important to work with your travel agent to make sure you understand what you're getting.
Dining.  The ship features a number of dining options.   The Club Room is the two main dining are, serving the same high-quality menu and exceptional service that Princess is known for.  The Lido Deck restaurants serve buffets, pizza, and other options.  The Sterling Steakhouse alternates nights with the Sabattini's, which offer Italian fare as  the alternative dining venue is available for an additional fee.  (Be sure to reserve these options early, as they fill up very quickly).  Complimentary 24 hour room service is also available.  For those in high-end cabins, Ultimate Balcony Dining provides the experience of being served an elegant private dinner on your own balcony for a small fee.
Daytime Activities.  Water activities aboard the Ocean Princess include a large fresh-water pool with two hot tubs.  A variety of events including team trivia and high tea are available each day, as are lectures, classes and activities like painting ceramics..  Duty-free shopping is available onboard, as are other entertaining activities and get-togethers throughout the day.  In addition to an Internet cafe, WI-FI is available throughout the ship.  For a slower pace, adults can escape the rush and relax in the Sanctuary, and an adults-only sun deck.
Spa and Fitness.  A scaled-down version if the Lotus Spa and salon provides a variety of relaxing treatments and therapies. The spa's signature treatment is the Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow with Massage.  Warm oil is dripped luxuriously all over your body before Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is applied, followed by Exotic Sun Flower Body Lotion, leaving   After rinsing away the salts, the treatment concludes with a Deep Tissue Muscle Massage.  An outdoor sport court and jogging track are supplemented by a fully-equipped gym that offers weight and cardio equipment as well as fitness classes.
Nighttime Entertainment.  Nightlife is a bit more staid on the Ocean Princess, due to the somewhat older crowd the ship caters to, though it does feature a range of bars and a disco.  A theater present Broadway-style revues featuring the ship's talented cast of singers and dancers, and a casino offers a variety of games when the ship is at sea.  Poker games and tournaments are also staged throughout each voyage.
Kids.   The Ocean Princess does not have dedicated children's areas.   Youth programs are only available when 20 or more children, ages 3-17, are traveling on a given voyage. Children under the age of 3 are welcome to visit the Youth Center, if accompanied and supervised by a parent at all times.
