Women Need Vacations
Vacations are important to women. Apparently, the more extraordinary the
better and many like the idea of traveling with the same sex. A recent
national survey of 1,700 female leisure travelers conducted by Roper Public
Affairs indicted that 96 percent said that vacation destinations that create
lasting memories are most appealing to them. Good news for the cruise
industry - a third of those surveyed said they plan to take a cruise within
the next 12 months. Bonding with girlfriends while on vacation is growing
in popularity. One in five said they took a girls-only vacation during the
past three years, citing the need to enjoy a break from the daily routine as
the primary reason.
Introducing Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises has been re-branded to align itself with the
fabulous Regent Hotels chain. Now known as Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the
cruise line is launching an 18-month, multi-million dollar upgrade to its
fleet. Guests will soon enjoy staterooms with down comforters, Anichini
brand linens, flat screen televisions, iPods and Bose speakers, wireless
Internet access and more upgraded luxury amenities. The changes will start
of the Seven Seas Mariner this spring and Seven Seas Voyager later this
summer. Regent Sevens Seas Cruises will still focus on travel itineraries
showcasing Alaska, Tahiti, the Baltics and Mediterranean.
