Not too late or too early for Alaska
If you can go on short notice, it's not too late to consider an Alaska cruise for this year,
as some great last-minute cruise rates remain. Combine that with airfare sales from most of
the major carriers, and you can get that dream vacation at a very low rate.
If you're not ready to jump that quickly, you might want to start thinking about booking an
Alaska sailing for next summer. Here are just a few reasons why:
Glacier Viewing - 100,000 Alaskan glaciers cover 29,000 square miles. Cruises typically visit
one or more glacier areas, including Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm
Fjord, Mendenhall Glacier or the glaciers in College Fjord. Lucky visitors may experience the
awe-inspiring thunder of glacier's calving huge ice bergs.
Abundant Wildlife - Bald eagles, owls, hawks, falcons and waterfowl to Kodiak brown bears, polar
bears, wolves, wolverines, moose, caribou are all common sites from your ships balcony or on an excursion..
Whale Watching - June and early September are ideal times to see Humpback and Minke whales, Orcas,
Pacific and white-sided dolphins right the deck of the ship.
Northern Lights - August is the best time to see spectacular night skies filled with vivid reds
and greens.
World-Class Fishing - Full and half-day guided trips for king salmon, pink and silver salmon,
sockeye, halibut, rainbow trout, char and steelhead can be booked through the cruise line or separately.
